Mission Trips to Navajo Nation
Navajo Nation
The Navajo Reservation exists across New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. Our Mission Trips to the Navajo Nation will take place in New Mexico and Arizona. Mission trip activities include:
Medical and developmental screenings: In partnership with Saint Bonaventure Indian Mission, our team hosts Health Fairs providing medical and dental screenings, a hot lunch, food boxes and/or supplies and craft activities on various remote locations on the Navajo reservation. Medical professional volunteers are encouraged to join the Medical Mission Trip.
Construction: In partnership with St. Bonaventure, our team provides assistance with home repairs and other vital construction projects as well as renovations to the St Bonaventure School. Many of the Navajo homes need to be rebuilt because of fire damage from kettle stoves used to heat the homes.
Outreach: We deliver food and water to Navajo families throughout the Navajo Nation. Food is donated by the Philoptochos Society at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque. Water delivery is provided by appointment through St. Bonaventure Indian Mission and the nonprofit DigDeep.
Food Pantry: We prepare food delivery boxes, work at the pantry’s gardens, sort food donations and distribute food at the Community Pantry in Gallup, NM.
Mission Trips to Blackfeet Nation
Blackfeet Nation
The Blackfeet Reservation is in Northwest Montana on the border of Canada. Our Mission Trips to the Blackfeet Nation are based in Browning, MT. Mission trip activities include:
Construction and Repairs: We work with the Brothers of the De La Salle Blackfeet School in Browning, MT to provide repairs, construction, and painting that is needed at the local school and nearby teacher’s housing.
Food Distribution: Our teams prepare food delivery boxes and hot meals to distribute to the community in Heart Butte, MT.
Outreach: Our volunteers assist at the food pantry and with clothing distribution, as well as hand out toys and play with the Blackfeet children in Heart Butte, MT.
